We want to explain a small change we have recently made.
Running a small independent shop means keeping a close eye on how everything works behind the scenes. While a single bar of soap or one pack of incense might seem straightforward, the reality is that supplier thresholds and payment processing fees can have a significant impact on very small orders.
You might not always see these costs as a customer, and that is completely understandable. Many of the fees involved sit behind the scenes at supplier and payment level. However, they are part of the reality of running a small business, and we have to account for them to remain sustainable.
In simple terms, once wholesale costs and payment fees are taken into account, very small orders can sometimes cost more to fulfil than they bring in. That is not sustainable for a small business in the long term.
For that reason, we have introduced a £10 minimum order.
This is not about making things difficult. In fact, most of our customers already place orders above this amount. The minimum simply helps us keep prices fair across the board, rather than increasing the cost of individual items to cover hidden charges.
Our aim is to remain transparent and keep things straightforward. We would much rather explain why we have made a change than quietly adjust prices without saying anything.
As always, we are grateful for your support. It genuinely makes a difference to small businesses like ours.
